This Privacy Policy describes the commitment at TorontoCast Inc. (“TorontoCast”) to the privacy of visitors to the TorontoCast website located at TorontoCast.com and of its customers. Except as required by law or as otherwise provided herein, TorontoCast will take commercially reasonable steps to ensure your right to privacy. TorontoCast is committed to developing long lasting relationships that are built on trust and would never intentionally violate that trust.

Information We Collect

TorontoCast Customers Information.

TorontoCast only requests the minimal information required to provide Services to it’s customers. Customers information provided to TorontoCast is not used for any Marketing purposes and we do not share any private information collected with any third parties (unless legally obliged to) with the exception of IP addresses. IP addresses may be shared via the GoogleMaps API for generating station listener maps.

Name, postal address, email address, telephone number (optional), and billing information (such as a credit card number) are collected to allow TorontoCast to obtain payment for the Services the Customer has requested. In addition, to register a domain name, customers are asked to provide similar information for the registrant, administrative contact, technical contact and billing contact of the domain name (collectively, “Domain Name Registration Information”), for submission to the appropriate domain registry or registration database.

Social Media.

TorontoCast’s website may include social media features (such as the Facebook “Like” button). These features may collect your IP address and which page you are visiting on our website, and may set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Social media features and widgets may be hosted by a third party or directly on TorontoCast’s website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing the feature.

The pages and groups hosted on FaceBook are governed by the TOS and Privacy statement of FaceBook and TorontoCast has no control or say over these terms. These can currently be found at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation

Cookies and Tracking.

TorontoCast uses different types of cookies (which are electronic collections of information stored on a local computer that are used by websites to keep track of visitors and registered users and to relate one computer transaction to a later one) and other methods of uniquely tracking visitors for different purposes. For example, some cookies are “required cookies” which are necessary for TorontoCast’s website to work. In addition, cookies are used to provide TorontoCast’s existing customers with the opportunity for increased convenience.

Collection by Linked Websites.

TorontoCast may provide links to some third party websites as a convenience. Please exercise care when visiting linked websites. The linked websites have separate and independent privacy statements, notices and terms of use which we recommend you read carefully. When you visit or make purchases through these third party sites, you may be asked to provide personal information, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and credit/debit card information. Please note that in such cases, you are providing information to a third party and TorontoCast has no control over such third party’s use of any information you provide and, therefore, TorontoCast has no responsibility or liability for the manner in which the third party that operates a linked website may collect, use, disclose, secure or otherwise treat your personal information. Except as provided herein, TorontoCast will not provide any of your personal information to any third parties without your consent.

Use of Information

TorontoCast uses information it collects primarily to provide and collect payment for its cloud-based solutions and other services. Passively collected information, such as information collected from or about your device including through the placement or reading of cookies or other tracking technologies is used to provide a customized experience as you use TorontoCast’s services.

TorontoCast only uses customers  stored email address to commuicate essential information such as changes to our Privacy Statement and/or Terms Of Service.

TorontoCast does not supply these details to any Third Party (unless legally obliged to)

Internet Radio Hosting

TorontoCasts Radio Streaming service is provided on a dedicated server. TorontoCast will create for its customers a username and password to access this account. This username and password is stored on the billing server to allow direct links from the client area to the service provided. No personal information is transmitted to the Radio Streaming server.

Due to the nature of Internet Radio, all information entered in to the Radio Service control panel (such as Centova) will be treated as public, including any email addresses. All information stored here may be transmitted to third parties in order for the Service to function. All information on this server can be controlled through the control panel and admin pages.

Customer Contact/Account Information.

The information collected from customers is used to manage each customer’s account (such as for billing and account management purposes) .

Law Enforcement.

TorontoCast will respond to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes, and will utilize customer information as necessary to establish or exercise TorontoCast’s legal rights or defend against legal claims. Additionally, TorontoCast will share information to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations or suspected violations of TorontoCast’s Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law.

Controlling Your Information

TorontoCast allows it’s customers to access, update, and correct inaccuracies in the personal information in TorontoCast’s custody and control, subject to certain exceptions prescribed by law.

Customers can enter their own client page at https://clients.torontocast.com. At the top of this page is an update button allowing customers to view and edit their personal details that TornotoCast has stored.

You may request access, updating,  and corrections of inaccuracies in your personal information TorontoCast has in its custody or control by accessing the control panel or by contacting support via email, TorontoCasts ticketing system, phone,  or online chat. TorontoCast may request certain personal information for the purposes of verifying the identity of the individual seeking access to their records.

Customers can request deletion of their account by opening a Ticket, or via email to [email protected] . Deletion of an account is permanant and final. Once ownership of account to be deleted is confirmed, it will be actioned ASAP and may take up to 60 days to be fully removed from TorontoCast.

To ensure you receive the information you need to manage your account and protect your privacy, please be sure to keep your contact and billing information up to date. You can update all account-related information directly through your control panel. Alternatively, you can contact TorontoCast support.

In-active accounts

After a period of 60 days, if a customers account has no active services enabled and no activity it will be automatically deleted. The customer will need to create a new account should they wish to use TorontoCast services again.

Revisions to this Policy

TorontoCast reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this Privacy Policy at any time and in any manner. However, if TorontoCast plans to materially change how it plans to use previously collected personal information, TorontoCast will provide you with advance notice prior to the change becoming effective and an opportunity to opt-out of such differing uses. TorontoCast encourages you to periodically review this page for the latest information on its privacy practices.
